Certified Public Accountant and Managing Partner
John Solari has more than 30 years of accounting, tax and business consultation experience and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He founded J.A. Solari & Partners after years of experience at a national accounting firm.
In his years in the business, John has earned a reputation for helping clients plan for the future and build their business. As managing partner, John actively participates in critical decision making on clients’ behalf and oversees a team of certified public accountants who specialize in estate and tax planning for complex business transactions and for high-net-worth individuals. The firm also provides business consultation for middle-market companies in the real estate, health care, aviation and manufacturing industries.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on numerous community boards.
Certified Public Accountant and Partner
Amy Allen brings more than 25 years of diverse accounting experience to the table. Her list of skills is overwhelming, but it is her special energy and dedication that drives her to achieve results for her clients time and time again. Allen specializes in manufacturing, professional services, the technology industry, local government and non-profit assurance. She also handles outsourcing tax department functions including tax provisions, tax management and compliance. Allen has much experience dealing with multistate and foreign matters. Allen holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation.
Certified Public Accountant and Senior Tax Manager
With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Duke’s expertise is preparing tax returns for entities, specializing in construction and development as well as numerous other industries. Duke holds a Bachelor of Science in Business (Accounting) and a Masters of Accountancy from Virginia Poly Technic Institute and State University.
In his free time, Duke enjoys spending time with his wife, three sons and daughter, as well as, hunting, fishing and hiking.
Certified Public Accountant
Kallie Phillips joins the team as a Certified Public Accountant from Mississippi with a Master of Taxation from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Mississippi. Previously, Kallie worked for a Fortune 500 company on a start-up greenfield project where she acquired a love for capital projects and their tax needs. Prior to this, she worked for a public accounting firm where she completed various audits and entity returns. Kallie believes hard work and working intelligently to accomplish goals creates a feeling of pride.
Kallie enjoys being active in her community and has served on numerous boards for local sports and non-profits. She has founded community paint projects that give back to the elderly and disabled. In her free time, Kallie enjoys spending time with her family, participating in outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, and watching her children compete with their swim team.
Certified Public Accountant
Melanie has experience providing tax and accounting services for business clients in various industries as well as high net worth individuals. Prior to becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Melanie served as a Legal Administrator for over 12 years. Melanie completed her certification in accounting at UCSD Extension after receiving her MBA and BS in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. Melanie is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Melanie is very active in her community and currently serves on the Board of her local Rotary Club. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and dogs.
Monica was born and raised in Alaska before moving to Reno in 2016 to begin school at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has since earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is currently working toward her Masters of Accountancy. She loves to travel to other countries and learn about other cultures, and she is passionate about advocating for human rights. On the weekends, she can be found hiking in the mountains with her dog.
Connor was born and raised in Murrieta in southern California. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he graduated in Spring 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is continuing his education there by pursuing a Master of Accountancy. One of Connor’s passions is skiing, spending winters at Mammoth Mountain from the age of 4. Besides skiing he also has a love for all thing aeronautics, and obtained his pilot’s license at the age of 17. His latest passion is scuba diving, which he learned in 2018.
Cindy received her Bachelor’s degree and Masters of Accountancy at Brigham Young University. She went on to work several years for a large accounting firm in the Bay Area earning her CPA and working primarily in assurance services. She loves to hike and run with her dog and go boating with her family.
Theresa graduated with her bachelors in accounting. She is currently working towards her CPA licensure and is looking forward to advancing her career in accounting. She also maintains a degree in business administration and IT management. Previously, Theresa worked as an IT technical support supervisor and incident manager for 11 years. Outside the office Theresa likes to spend time with her husband and two children.
Ha Le was born in Vietnam and raised in Lawndale, California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and moved to Reno shortly after graduation, where she received her CAPM certification in project management. Outside of work, Ha Le loves to do word search puzzels, travel, and spend time with her children.
Office Manager and Wonder Woman
Marcy is the Office Manager at J.A. Solari & Partners, but we like to call her Wonder Woman. She keeps the wheels greased and keeps everything moving on time and on schedule. Marcy brings over 20 years of administrative experience in Office Management and Human Resources to our team, overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions of business operations, interacting with clients and ensuring all projects are completed in a timely manner. Marcy also assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures. When she’s not spending time with her children or their littles, Marcy enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
